Kohli and Pujara rescues India after inexperienced Indian openers collapsed
Border-Gavaskar Trophy- India’s tour of Australia 2020-21 started in Adelaide Oval, Adelaide with a day-night pink ball test. This series was fully controversial from the beginning as India’s starting XI was totally unexpected with the inclusion of Prithvi Shaw after his bad performance in the practice tests excluding Shubman Gill who did well in those matches.
As the match started Prithvi Shaw was clean bowled by Mitchell Starc in the second ball of the innings. Mayank Aggarwal was also bowled out by Pat Cummins when he was batting at 17. Then Cheteswar Pujara and Virat Kohli played a calm and composed partnership of 68 runs. Cheteshwar Pujara (43) then lost his wicket to Nathan Lyon.

This score would have solidified if not Virat Kohli(74) was run out by Josh Hazlewood due to lack in coordination between Rahane and Kohli. After Kohli’s wicket Indian innings collapsed Rahane(42) falling to Starc, Vihari(16) falling to Hazlewood.
Now everythings depends on Saha( 9*) and Ashwin (15*). At the end of the day India 233/6. Saha and Ashwin have to face the Aussie pace battery tomorrow morning. It will be definitely a hard phase for India. The Aussies will look forward to take early wickets and stop India before 300 mark.

At the first day of the match pitch looked little bit slow. Some cracks are there which help Lyon to turn the ball. Facing Lyon will not be easy for India in third innings. So, India has to score some extra runs as much as possible tomorrow.
The Baggy Greens are little bit ahead of the game. There Pacers are consistently hitting the right line and length. They are looking confident. First day First Test, India is in backfoot , tough start but India will want to comeback hard tomorrow.
