India's tour of Australia 2020-21
Will Virat Kohli's team be able to win the Test series
from Australia and bring home the Border-Gavaskar trophy as like last time? It
must be said that India's tour of Australia from November 26 is going to be
more difficult than many previous tours. Because this time Steven Smith and
David Warner will be in the Aussie team. Which will increase both the strength
and morale of their team.
In the absence of Steve Smith and David Warner in the 2018-19 series, India lost to Australia 2-1 in the Test series for the first time in their 71-year test history against Aussies. At that time, they were banned for a year for tampering with the ball. From that point of view, it can be said without any doubt that the Indian team is facing a tough challenge for both of them to be available in this time. Again it is also a matter of concern to India, two experienced Indian cricketers, batsman Rohit Sharma and pace bowler Ishant Sharma, are still uncertain on the tour due to injuries. Jay Shah, the honorary Secretary of BCCI said “The BCCI Medical Team will continue to monitor the progress of Rohit Sharma and Ishant Sharma.”
Instead, the Indian Test team has some new faces like
Shubhman Gill, Mohammad Siraj or Navdeep Saini who have never played Tests on
Australian soil before. Kamlesh Nagarkoti, Kartik Tyagi, Ishan Porel and T.
Natarajan are also on the tour as backup or additional bowlers who are in great
form in this IPL and Domestic season.
Let's take a look at the Indian test team against Australia :
Virat Kohli (Captain),
Mayank Agarwal, Prithvi Shaw, KL Rahul, Cheteshwar Pujara, Ajinkya Rahane
(vice-captain), Hanuma Vihari, Shubman Gill, Wriddhiman Saha (wicket-keeper),
Rishabh Pant (wicket-keeper), Jasprit Bumrah, Mohd. Shami, Umesh Yadav, Navdeep
Saini, Kuldeep Yadav, Ravindra Jadeja, R. Ashwin, Mohd. Siraj

will be played with pink ball as a day-night test. In a word, the Test series
of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy between India and Australia, which is going to
start after 9 months, is going to be very exciting. Again everyone will be very
anxious to see the duel between Virat and Smith on the ground.
