Indian bowlers strike again before the defensive batting of Aussie Tail ender

Report card 2nd test, 3rd Day, Melbourne

INDvsAUS

India have failed to Carry forward the wonderful batting pace that he gained from Day 2. The early dismissal of Rahane(112) and Jadeja (59),  Indian tail Ender’s did not succeed to cross 350 and all out within 326. Indeed it is enough for India to have a lead of 131 runs especially when the bowling unit is efficient to keep the host under pressure.

Chasing the trail of 131 Australia quickly have lost Joe Burns (4). Umesh Yadav who did not take wicket in first innings stroke in 2nd innings and After the loss Mathew Wade and Marnus Labuschagne had been slowly making a partnership. Labuschagne the highest scorer of first innings have dismissed 28. After his dismissal Smith(8) also have lost his wicket very quickly. When Smith out Australia was on 71/3. Wade and Travis Head had played more and more defensively and Wade made a very important 40 runs out of 137 balls and finally dismissed. After his wicket Head(17) and wk batsman Tim Paine (1) also have dismissed quickly left Aussies in deep trouble of 99/6. The star of the 1st innings again stroke . After Yadav's early strike Ashwin and Bumrah have took the wicket of Labuschagne and Smith respectively. Ravindra Jadeja the dependable all rounder played most valuable bowling by dismissing Wade and Paine. Siraj the debutant had keep his consistency by dismissing Head.

Australia was in outmost pressure on 99/6 when they were still 32 runs left. It was the wonderful defensive batting of Pat Cummins and Chris Green. It is also a fact that Rishav Pant missed a catch of Cummins which may seem costly to India. But very slowly this two batsman crossed the trail of 131 runs and finish in 133/6 after end of the day. If the partnership stands for 70/100 runs it may make a problem for India in chasing in the fourth innings.

Above all only 2 runs lead with 4 wicket in hand, Australia is still under pressure but It is definitely true that the lower order of Aussie is doing the same thing that Our lower order fails to do in morning session and after all it is Australia and year is 2020 so anything can be happened. So above all the MCG test is become more and more interesting.

Let’s wait for Day 4 which is might going to be the concluding day of Boxing Day test.
