A rare day in history of F1 – For the 1st time there was red flag in Baharin GP. Only few seconds later after the race start, in the third corner of 1st lap, Haas driver Romain Grosjean hit trackside barrier and immediately there was extremely severe fire. Luckily, saftey car was just behind, Romain Grosjean was taken out of the car and the race was stopped.
In many years, this type of
intense crash hasn’t occurred in F1, what actually happened there? F1 cars are
generally very safe and very much protected from fire, but why there was so
much fire? Many questions come out, but the exact reason of fire is not till
investigated. A quick and keen approach by medical team was luckily able to
take Grosjean out of the car and save his life. It can be very dangerous if he didn’t
get medical attention at right time. Recent updates say he is safe now, has
some minor burns in hands and shoulder and able to walk.

Lewis was tested covid positive yesterday
morning, and Mercedes authority declared he will not participate upcoming
Sakhir GP. Hamilton is in self isolation for ten days. He had already secured
his seventh World Championship Title in Turkey. The form he is in, he
definitely doesn’t want to miss any race. He is likely to join the team for
season’s last GP in Abu Dhabi.

Max is very consistent throughout
the season and he was the fastest in the track on Sunday. The race of No.2 in
driver championship is pretty much close, two races are on the way and Bottas
is just only twelve points ahead of Max Verstappen. Racing Point’s driver
Sergio Perez was very unlucky to miss the podium, it looked he would end the
race in third, but in 56th lap, just one lap away to finish, a very
unfortunate engine failure caused him to force out of the race. Red Bull’s
other driver Alex Albon was just behind him and easily finished third.
Other driver of Racing
Point, Lance Stroll also crashed. Alpha
Tauri driver Daniil Kvyat was investigated to involve in both Grosjean and Stroll crash, he was given ten
seconds time penalty. McLaren drivers Lando Norris and Carlos Sainz Jr.
finished fourth and fifth, took their team to third place in Constructor
Championship , seventeen points ahead of Team Racing Point.
All the outside dramas, Baharin
GP 2020 will definitely be remembered for intense crash of Romain Grosjean.
“I thought about a lot of things,
including Niki Lauda and I thought it was not possible to end up like that, not
now. I couldn’t finish my story in F1
like that. For my children, I told myself that I had to get out” he shared his
thoughts, and it says pretty much.
Take a look at how horrible the accident is
This is unreal. Despite hitting the barrier head-on, his car being torn in half, and his half of the car bursting into flames, Romain Grosjean walked away from this massive crash. Respect to the marshals and medics on the scene. pic.twitter.com/mGSI2fP5qk
