Report card of AUS VS IND 4TH TEST , DAY 1
After an wonderful
draw in pink test it is a huge challenge for India to defend this series in 1-1
or win. But It will definitely very difficult for a team which lost its most
important and dependable players deu to injury. This problem rose eye even from
very first day.
Same way hosts won
the toss and chose to bat first. Wonderful spell of Siraj continued even today
and he send David Warner very early on just 5 . Shardul Thakur also dismissed Marcus
Harris very early. After this early losses Smith and Labuschagne made a good
comeback and ended on 65/2 before lunch. Newcomer spinner Washington Sundar send
Smith on 36 just after the lunch. But after this lose Matthew Wade and Marnus
Labuschagne made an wonderful partnership. Ajinkya Rahane dropped a catch of
Labuschagne and India had to pay for it. Shardul Thakur though took important
wicket of Smith he was bit expensive throughout the whole day. Wade scored
valuable 45 and Labuschagne made wonderful ton of 108. Marnus and Wade added
113 for 4th wicket. But the debutant talent T Natarajan bowled
wonderfully and send this two set batsman quickly.
After 213/5
skipper Paine and Chris Green made a nice comeback and ended the day with
274/5. If this two batsman set for a long time Australia will easily make 350
or 400 runs which is enough the put India in outmost pressure but the pace
battery that we had it will not so much easy. The injury of Navdeep Saini is
really a headache and it is tough to use only 4 bowlers in this do or die test.
Above all things the pace bowling of Siraj Natarajan is very much promising and
we can definitely say it as a positive sign for our team which is very much
effected injury.
Above all the
batting unit of India have to work properly to make 100 runs lead which is very
important.
Summary after Day 1
AUSTRALIA 274/5 (87)
MARNUS LABUSCHAGNE 108. T NATARAJAN 2/63
MATHEW WADE 45. MD . SIRAJ 1/51
